Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) – Registration no. 174585
I have experience in providing counselling and psychotherapy to adult clients in a local community based service and in a GP practice. I have worked as a university based Student Counsellor and also spent a number of rewarding years as a volunteer Bereavement Counsellor with the national charity Cruse. My therapeutic experience includes the setting up and running of a school-based counselling service in London, where I managed a team of Children's Counsellors. I have provided crisis counselling to teenagers and young adults referred via CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services).
I presently work with both private and NHS referred clients in my practice.
I have specialist experience in providing advocacy and one to one emotional support to male and female adult clients in the area of domestic abuse and coercive control. I am also a trained facilitator of the Freedom Programme, a 12 week psycho-educational programme for women who have experienced domestic abuse.
